Bridgwater Town Council 2021 Calendar NOW OUT

Bridgwater Calendars now available

For the third year running Bridgwater Town Council has produced a calendar to promote the town and featuring the photography and art work of local artistes. This year the images are by exciting Bridgwater photographer Terence Peppin and the design is by local company Heybelles.

The Calendar is available NOW (in good time for Christmas!) and retails at £6.

You can get the calendar from the SWEETBOX on the Cornhill or SCOOPS on St John Street.

During this month the Town Council offices are closed but it’s also possible to arrange collection or delivery.

For instance you can collect your copy, or a whole batch (as Xmas presents maybe??) from the Town Hall office by appointment -Phone 01278 427692 and you can pick up 0930-1130 Mondays.

Or if you would like some delivered to you then send an email to the Leader of Council Brian Smedley (cllrsmedley@bridgwater-tc.gov.uk).

Cllr Smedley says “For the past couple of years we have stepped up our plans to promote Bridgwater as a Tourist destination- although Covid has got in the way just now. This is the third calendar we’ve produced but we also have 2 excellent guidebooks and a vast selection of postcards of the town which  are great for spreading the message of Bridgwater’s charms  far and wide and at the same time are collectors items for local people who are justifiably proud of their history and heritage.”

The History Goes on!

Two other things to look out for this month

  1. Bridgwater History Day. To be held on ZOOM on Saturday 28th November this popular annual delve into our town’s fascinating history will run 1030 to 1300. Full details can be found here
  2. Bridgwater Tree Trail Guide. Instead of a town guide this year we’re producing a route map around 50 of the most interesting trees in our town to draw attention to the need to enhance our tree cover in the fight against climate change and at the same time to introduce a new walking route around the town to discover Bridgwater’s fascinating history.
