As Bridgwater embraces more people and cultures, a special event is being organized to celebrate the many things that unite people across the world.
Bridgwater Together is taking place at the Engine Room on Bridgwater High Street on Sunday October 25th between 10am and 4pm. One of the organizers, Phil Shepherd says “Everyone is welcome to join us at this free event. Come and join us for a day of music, food, stories, dance and film from many cultures. This is a great opportunity to meet up with friends old and new from around the world, to have fun and to learn from each other.”
The event is being put together by local organizations including Diversity Voice, Bridgwater International, Tuga Productions, Unite the Union, Bridgwater Trades Union Council and Somerset Film with support from the Town Council and from individuals from many lands.
Unite Learning will be launching a new programme of local ESOL courses on the day. Food on offer will include Lithuanian Bociu Duona bread, Polish bigos stew, Indian samosas, West Country cheeses and much more. Free lunch with international stories from 1pm.
Bridgwater Together is a free event and there is no need to book. For more information or to get involved call in at the Engine Room or phone in on 01278 433187. Your contribution and attendance welcome!
