At last … it’s back! We’re talking about the Bridgwater Flower & Craft Show which last opened its doors in 2018. So what’s new? It will be at Westfield Church Hall in West St., which is a beautiful welcoming space for the whole community & the date for your diary is Saturday August 27th, with set up the previous afternoon & evening. Sara Evans is leading an almost entirely new, enthusiastic Committee “We’re working very hard to bring back one of Bridgwater’s much loved traditions, so look out for lots of old favourites plus some new challenges to enjoy.” If you’re not familiar with the name, it used to be the Bridgwater Flower Show, but entries were changing over the years, so ‘Craft’ has been added to reflect that. Who knows what this year’s entries will favour … only one way to find out!
There’s masses of info on the website www.bfcshow.org.uk & the facebook page is great for sharing queries, ideas & history. Look for Bridgwater Flower and Craft Show https://www.facebook.com/groups/112894972129932
Over 60 trophies are up for grabs on the day, so why not take a look at the Schedule & give it a go!
Town Council Support
Kathy continued “The Show will also be the grand finale of the Town Council’s ‘Green Week’, which will be launched on Sunday 21st August with a Blue Heritage event led by Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust and Friends of the Meads. Throughout the week, there will be a range of events designed to raise awareness of our local environment and how we can all make a difference to tackle the climate emergency.“
