On Saturday 29th July Bridgwater is opening up to various cultural projects and the day will be so full of things to do whether it’s opera on Kings Square, Family fun in Blake Gardens , Street Entertainment in New Road or live music on West Quay. Unity House in Dampiet Street will open it’s doors to an arts installation and an exhibition of Socialist Art.
Bridgwater Labour Party has had a massive influx of members since both before and after the recent election and is throwing open the doors of it’s headquarters to the public, Organiser Hadrian Speight says “On Saturday July 29th the brilliant Bridgwater Quayside Festival will be taking place. The organisers will be using the main hall in Unity House for a fascinating art installation, they may also use one or two other rooms as ‘performers’ changing rooms. The rest of Unity House, including the three rooms on the top floor will be free. The newly formed Socialist Artists Group is planning to do a show in those top rooms, and others, on the day. For more information contact myself or John Fredrick. All Socialist Artists welcome. The Exhibition will be free and will run from 10am and 6pm.”
