Sunday 11th June saw the 9th annual summer fair at Victoria Park Bridgwater. Running from 12 noon till 4 pm this popular event featured the usual stalls and activities inside and outside the community centre and across the park but this year also included a large element of live music curtesy of the SEED SEDGEMOOR ‘Front Garden Music festival’. Deputy Mayor of Bridgwater Cllr Jacqui Solomon was on hand and took part in several aspects of the day.
Jacqui said afterwards “A fabulous event for all the family from donkey rides to Bangra Dancing. A well organised and successful day lovely atmosphere including the fire service and an abundance of cake. The Victoria Park Centre should be rightly proud of the community spirt which was evident here. Although I think I was cheated out of my win in the Bangra dance off.”
